Happy 2nd Birthday, Emmeline!

As I am writing this, the birthday girl is taking her usual mid-day nap.  She is still recovering from our Father's Day celebrations yesterday.  She woke up at about 7:20 this morning and opened some presents before Paul left for his first day of teaching summer camp.  After a birthday breakfast, we Skyped with my parents and Jacy; they sang "Happy Birthday" to her and watched her open some presents that my mom had left for her.  She played with play-dough (even though the package says it is OK for two-year-olds, I think I am going to hide it and wait for a little while), tried out her new easel and read some new books.  Her friend Ezra came over for a play date and then we walked to the nearby cafe for lunch.  More birthday pictures and narrative soon to come!
